Supertri Brighton 2027

Global Triathlon Racing on the Sussex Coast

On Sunday, 29 August 2027, the international triathlon brand Supertri brings its high-energy racing format to the Sussex coastline with the launch of Supertri Brighton. Staged across Hove Lawns and the seafront Promenade, the event combines elite competitive endurance with mass-participation categories for multisport athletes from across the UK and overseas.

Race Distances and Courses

Supertri Brighton offers multiple distances catering to experienced endurance specialists, corporate relay squads, and newcomers alike:

• Olympic Distance: 1,500 m open-water sea swim off the Hove shingle, 40 km closed-road coastal cycle, and 10 km run along the Promenade.
• Sprint Distance: 750 m sea swim, 20 km cycle, and 5 km run.
• Super-Sprint Distance: 400 m swim, 10 km cycle, and 2.5 km run — designed for speed or first-time coastal racers.
• Team Relay: Teams of two or three athletes sharing swim, bike, and run legs across Sprint and Olympic courses.

Why the Society Highlights Supertri Brighton

Multisport athletics and coastal fitness form a natural part of Brighton's lifestyle. Many relocated founders, software architects, and researchers in the Brighton BGTC Society balance demanding intellectual work with endurance training along the seafront. Supertri's arrival cements Brighton & Hove's reputation as a world-class outdoor sports hub.

Course Experience

The sea swim begins on the shingle beach opposite Hove Lawns, followed by a transition zone located on the grass lawns. The cycle course utilizes fully closed coastal roads stretching towards the border of Shoreham, before returning runners to the wide, flat Promenade with panoramic views of the English Channel and the iconic silhouette of the West Pier.
